Alur Biru Maritim (“ABM”) Celebrated To Welcome Vessels ABM Satria, ABM Binari and ABM Arah

Cirebon – Alur Biru Maritim (“ABM”), a joint venture company between Sinarmas LDA Maritime (“SLM”) and ST International (“STI”) celebrated for welcoming vessels ABM Satria, ABM Binari and ABM Arah. These three ships are super modern dry ships dedicated to transporting dry bulk cargoes in Indonesia. The welcoming celebration was held in Cirebon on Wednesday (23/11/2022) yesterday.

This event was began with delivery of greeting by the COO of Alur Biru Maritim, Azis Muttaqien. The event was then continued with a speech delivered by the CEO of Alur Biru Maritim, Matthieu Lavoine. In his speech, Mr. Matthieu expressed his gratitude for the arrival of the vessels ABM Satria, ABM Binari and ABM Arah.

“This event is very special for me because this is the first time we celebrate for welcoming our ships. Therefore, I would like to invite our special guests here to celebrate this special moment with us,” said Matthieu.

The celebration of welcoming the ships was followed by a presentation on Dry Operation presented by GM Dry Fleet Operation of Alur Biru Maritim, Sebastien Follet. In his presentation, Sebastien explained that Alur Biru Maritim has completed the purchase of 3 new self-propelled barges (SPB) in Q3 2022. These newly acquired vessels have the capacity of 13,000 DWT and the length of 129 meters. Alur Biru Maritim is now operating 7 SPBs and 10 sets of tugboats and barges.

On this occasion, two honoured guests also participated in presenting client testimonial. The two guests are GM of Pelindo, Tengku Nursalim, and the Head of Sub Directorate of Information Systems and Facilities and Infrastructure of the Traffic Directorate, Eko Sudarmanto. Both of them expressed their gratitude for the good news, namely the arrival of self-propelled barges which further complement the presence of ships in Indonesian maritime.

The event then continued with a vessel visit which was carried out on board of ABM Arah. During this vessel visit, a safety induction was carried out. Safety induction is useful to provide an overview of the introduction of safety on a ship. The safety induction was presented by Chief Officer of ABM Arah, Muhammad Nazeri.

The tumpeng cutting ceremony was then conducted by the President Director of Alur Biru Maritim Matthieu Lavoine and given to the Captain of ABM Arah, Captain Esli Kakalang. The event was then closed by ship siren pressing that was carried out by the President Director of Alur Biru Maritim Matthieu Lavoine. Welcome ABM Satria, ABM Binari and ABM Arah!
