As part of its commitment to supporting the development of future-ready talents and fostering meaningful collaboration between academia and industry, Sinarmas LDA Maritime participated in the SM Pillars x ITSB Campus Visit, organized by the President Office of Sinar Mas on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at Institut Teknologi Sains Bandung (ITSB), Deltamas, Cikarang.
The visit brought together representatives from Human Resources, Corporate Communication, and Corporate Social Responsibility functions across Sinar Mas business pillars to explore opportunities for stronger collaboration with the academic sector and to align educational development with evolving industry needs.
The program featured a series of activities, including a Campus Tour, an introduction session to ITSB and IIRC, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD): Business World x ITSB Collaboration, and a networking session. These activities created opportunities for participants to gain a closer understanding of ITSB’s academic ecosystem, exchange perspectives on workforce readiness, and discuss how educational institutions and industries can work together to prepare future talents.
Through the discussion sessions, participants explored ideas around bridging academic learning with practical industry expectations, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and strengthening the relevance of educational programs to meet the demands of today’s dynamic business environment.
For Sinarmas LDA Maritime, participation in this initiative reflects the company’s continuous commitment to supporting knowledge exchange and contributing to the development of an ecosystem where education and industry can grow together. Collaboration initiatives such as this are expected to help create stronger connections between institutions and organizations while encouraging innovation and long-term talent development.
Moving forward, Sinarmas LDA Maritime remains committed to supporting initiatives that encourage cross-sector collaboration and contribute to the development of capable, adaptive, and future-ready human capital for sustainable industry growth.
