Jakarta – Sinarmas LDA Maritime (SLM) once again demonstrated its strong commitment to education and community empowerment through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with Tzu Chi Sinar Mas on Saturday (20/09/2025). The event, held at Tzu Chi Center, PIK Boulevard, gathered around 70 junior and senior high school scholarship recipients, who participated in a series of meaningful and inspiring activities designed to motivate and nurture their future aspirations.
Annual Donation of IDR 250 Million
In line with its dedication to supporting educational development, Matthieu Lavoine, CEO of Sinarmas LDA Maritime, symbolically handed over an annual donation worth IDR 250 million to Hong Tjhin, Advisor of Tzu Chi Sinar Mas. This contribution forms part of the company’s long-term partnership with Tzu Chi Foundation, reflecting SLM’s belief that education is one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty and create equal opportunities for future generations.
Through this donation, SLM aims to help improve access to quality education and inspire more young people to pursue their academic goals with confidence and determination. During the event, Matthieu led an inspiring session featuring the success story of Kylian Mbappé, a world-renowned French professional footballer admired for his discipline, determination, and humility. The spirit of motivation continued with a session titled “From Passion to Action”, presented by Sari Herawati, Head of Human Resources at Sinarmas LDA Maritime. In her engaging presentation, she highlighted how digital transformation and technological advancements today open up new opportunities for the younger generation to explore their interests, develop new skills, and transform their passions into meaningful actions. She also shared practical insights on self-discovery, goal setting, and the importance of perseverance, reminding the students that passion is only the beginning as the real impact is created when passion is aligned with action, continuous learning, and purpose.

To wrap up the day, participants took part in a fun and interactive Quiz Challenge, designed to test their general knowledge while fostering teamwork and enthusiasm. The students were divided into several groups and competed online, answering questions from various topics including science, history, and current affairs. Laughter, excitement, and friendly competition filled the room as students actively participated and supported one another.
