In celebration of its 11th anniversary, Sinarmas LDA Maritime (SLM) marked a significant milestone with the official launch of its newest tug boat, SLM HERAKLES 3, on July 16, 2025. The launch took place at Tuong Aik Shipyard, where the vessel was constructed and prepared for full operation.

This launch represents more than just the expansion of SLM’s fleet—it reflects a strategic initiative to address the evolving demands of the maritime industry. SLM HERAKLES 3 is equipped with 2,400 horsepower (HP), making it a powerful and reliable vessel for towing and maneuvering large ships, particularly in ports and restricted waters.

Built for efficiency and resilience in Indonesian waters, SLM HERAKLES 3 is designed to deliver high performance while enhancing safety and productivity in marine logistics operations. The vessel features modern navigation systems and efficient control technologies that support optimal operation by onboard crews.

Expanding the Fleet

SLM HERAKLES 3 is the first of three tug boats planned to reinforce SLM’s support fleet. Two additional units are currently under construction at the same shipyard, expected to be completed in the near future. Together, these vessels will play a crucial role in supporting SLM’s marine logistics services across various sectors, including energy, coal, and industrial shipping.
