HIV/AIDS Awareness Webinar – Strengthening Awareness, Education, and an Inclusive Workplace

In support of Safety Month 2026, Sinarmas LDA Maritime organized an HIV/AIDS Awareness Webinar at the Head Office on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

This activity reflects the company’s commitment to increasing employees’ awareness and understanding of HIV/AIDS, while strengthening a culture of safety and health in the workplace. Through this educational session, the company provided accurate, science-based, and relevant information to address misconceptions and reduce stigma that still commonly exists in society.

The webinar covered key topics including basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS, modes of transmission and prevention, and the importance of early detection through regular health testing. In addition, the discussion session provided employees with an open platform to ask questions and receive direct clarification from experts on health-related issues that are often considered sensitive yet essential to understand.

As part of its preventive approach, the company also encourages employees—especially those with potential risk factors—to voluntarily undergo testing as an early detection measure and proactive step toward health protection. Early screening not only benefits individuals but also contributes to creating a safer, more responsible, and health-conscious work environment.

Beyond being an educational initiative, this webinar represents Sinarmas LDA Maritime’s strong commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace free from discrimination and stigma. The company believes that stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS can be reduced through continuous education, open communication, and empathy among employees.

Through this program, Sinarmas LDA Maritime reinforces that employee health and safety remain top priorities. Building a safe and supportive workplace begins with increasing awareness, promoting accurate understanding, and encouraging shared responsibility in maintaining both personal and collective well-being.
