IKN Nusantara – Sinarmas LDA Maritime CEO Matthieu Lavoine accompanied the visit of French entrepreneurs to Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). This was the first visit by potential investors from France. The Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) received 4 letters of intent (LOI) from French entrepreneurs who visited IKN on Monday (12/06/2023). LOI itself is a sign of seriousness that contains an agreement between the parties to exchange information.
The LOI was given to OIKN through the Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono. This is the fourth LOI submitted by France, out of a total of 223 LOIs that have been received. Deputy Agung revealed that there has been a lot of interest from French company leaders asking about various incentives and ease of investing in IKN.
Head of OIKN Bambang Susantono emphasized that this visit was not just a visit but would be realized in the form of investment in IKN. The delegates came from various industrial sectors such as energy, smart city technology, environmentally friendly materials, and others.
“I think they are from all sides, not only investing in order to become investors but also becoming business people,” he said at the location of mixed-use land for trade and services at IKN. The mixed-use concept itself is planned to minimize travel between areas and provide public facilities, such as schools and sufficient commercial areas for each area.
On the same occasion, Sinarmas LDA Maritime CEO Matthieu Lavoine revealed that the arrival of the French company delegation today was to directly see the IKN development project in the field. Matthieu revealed that to ensure this project is realized, the French Delegation witnessed what happened so that they could report to the head office about the project and Indonesia’s commitment to this project.
“Hopefully, I really hope so, we can decide to invest and support Indonesia to build the country’s future,” Matthieu concluded.
