Sinarmas LDA Maritime Collaborates with Tzu Chi Sinar Mas to Organize a Blood Donation Event

JAKARTA – Sinarmas LDA Maritime is an integrated logistics service provider and shipping company that offers bulk cargo transportation services and port services throughout Indonesia. Not only focused on its business, Sinarmas LDA Maritime is also committed to helping others through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

One of the manifestations of the CSR program is related to the humanitarian field. To realize CSR related to humanitarian values, Sinarmas LDA Maritime collaborated with Tzu Chi Sinar Mas, Sinar Mas Group and Palang Merah Indonesia in organizing a blood donation program.

The blood donation program took place at Narwastu Room, Sinar Mas Land Plaza on Thursday (10/08/2023). The program was titled “Mari Berdonor Darah dan Tuang Celengan Bambu” (Let’s Donate Blood and Pour Bamboo Piggy Bank) with the hope of being able to invite Sinar Mas and Sinarmas LDA Maritime employees to be more caring for others, especially through voluntary blood donation. This event targets 300 blood bags that will be given to those in need.

Sinarmas LDA Maritime CEO Matthieu Lavoine said that the blood donation program is routinely carried out once every 3 months a year and specifically this month is carried out in order to welcome the 78th Indonesian Independence Day. He expressed his support for the blood donation program. Matthieu explained that this blood donation activity is a form of the company’s concern for the community and the surrounding environment.

“We strive to support the provision of blood for people in need. Not only that, we also hope that this activity can encourage employees who diligently donate to improve their health. This blood donor program targets 300 blood bags to be given to those in need. We would like to especially thank Tzu Chi Sinar Mas and all parties who participated in this activity, hopefully this activity can provide benefits that can be enjoyed together,” Matthieu explained.

By organizing this blood donation activity, Sinarmas LDA Maritime (SLM) once again proved its commitment in making a positive contribution to the community. In addition, SLM also proved its seriousness in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) well.

Meanwhile, Sebastien Follet as General Manager (GM) Dry Fleet Operation Sinarmas LDA Maritime who also donated his blood was happy with this blood donation program. “This is the 20th time I have donated blood. I feel happy when I do it because it is good for health and also at the same time we can save others in the hospital. I hope that the blood donation collaboration between SLM and Tzu Chi Sinar Mas will be the start which is good for CSR cooperation in the future,” said Sebastien.
